Why I think artists may choose to decline performing on the Super Bowl

There are thousands upon thousands of artists, some of them are even household names. Every now and then an opportunity may arise for them in which they are invited to participate in the Super Bowl. An artist may choose to decline because of how pressured they may be or how strict regulations are which would prevent the artist from making their own show and strips from their creativity. While many artists will accept the offer, i believe that the ones who refuse will remain with their creative individuality.

Journal 2: Looking into fame

For today’s journal, I have decided to take a look into one of my favorite personalities in social media. The person i will cover today is Elon Musk and my platform of choice was Twitter, one of the biggest social media platforms to date. Musk was born in Pretoria, South Africa on the 28th of June, 1971 and is the founder and CEO of both SpaceX and Tesla motors. In 1992, he attended the University of Pennsylvania and studied Business and Physics, both which would later on serve as a foundation for his future successes. He has 6 children, Griffin Musk and Xavier Musk both born in 2004 and in 2006 he had triplets, Kai Musk, Saxon Musk, and Damian Musk. Elon Musk is known for his two highly innovative companies Tesla and Spacex, Tesla which is known for reducing a humongous carbon footprint through the use of producing electric vehicles that provide luxury, comfort, and efficiency, and SpaceX which allowed the space industry to become privatized and it allows the expansion of technology with the goal to colonize mars very soon. Musk is not only a highly innovative entrepreneur. but he is also philanthropic as he has donated several millions of dollars to various charitable organizations such as ‘Global Learning’, a program designed to empower children to take control of their learning and strengthen their knowledge. He was also involved in singing ‘The Pledge’, in which various of the worlds wealthiest donate the majority of their wealth to charity either whenever they pass or when they desire to do so. Musk has also done a ton of interviews with other personalities which allow him to be more open showing is comedic side rather than serious interviews like the ones he does for the mass media. Musk is also very open with his projects and provides massive feedback on his Twitter page. From what i have researched, Elon musk is a modern day genius and I believe he will push mankind’s goals like we have never seen before.

Journal #1- Color

Life with no color is no life.

The human eyes can perceive about one million different colors in the spectrum. Without the gift of color there would be no paintings or photography, museums would be a lot more depressing, and traffic lights would be rendered useless. I am very fortunate to have the gift of perceiving light in all sorts of ways and out of all the colors, my favorite is green. Green is one of the most beautiful colors simply due to the fact that it is bursting with life. The color Green can be associated with the “Go” from the traffic lights, Green just so happens to be the color of our currency. When I look at Green, I feel a sense of serenity washing over me as i imagine a meadow with animals and various assortments of plants. Believe it or not, mirrors are actually green in color. Green is also a very attractive color to the eyes as it stands out from other colors. When a person walks outside the first thing that they see is how green and healthy grass looks. Without green the world would not be the same. The next time you go outside take a look around and count how many objects are green and i guarantee the number will most definitely surprise you.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
